Welcome to Sintra, the first destination on a trip that we trust will be unforgettable.
Sintra, one of the most beautiful places in Portugal, is 25 minutes from Lisbon International Airport. With a Celtic origin, it was declared a World Heritage Site in 1995. During the fifteenth century it was established as a holiday residence of both the Portuguese monarchs and nobles. Although its steep streets require us to exercise our legs in order to go along them, Sintra has a unique charm that makes it one of the most beautiful places in Portugal. Its characteristic architecture, which integrates seamlessly palaces and gardens, castles and forests, must not to be missed.
Today is the only day you will sleep off the ship, and we will do it at the Penha Longa Luxury Hotel, which will be available from 14:00 onwards. The only scheduled event is the presentation dinner, which is to be held at the hotel at 20:30h.22nd July 2017SaturdayLisbon Portugal-1700Yes

Cadiz is considered to be the oldest city in the West. Its foundation (1100 BC.) is due to the Phoenicians, a seafaring town that made “Gadir” an important trading colony in which Carthaginians, Romans, Visigoths and Muslims settled later.
It is a very bright and beautiful city to visit on foot. It has a great historical heritage and the charm of keeping that colonial style which it had in its time of splendor during its trade with the Indies. Its narrow streets, buildings of two or three floors, large windows and especially the inner courtyards, giving light to the interior rooms. All this gives the city its special flair. The architect Noldi Schreck, who participated in the design and construction of Beverly Hills, was visited in 1966 by Prince Alfonso de Hohenlohe to ask him to work on the Hotel Marbella Club. Schreck’s first job was to meet José Banús (a close friend of Francisco Franco), and convince him that Puerto Banús was not a suitable place to build huge skyscrapers that would house thousands of wealthy families. He proposed a sophisticated Andalusian village and marina, the first port made by a single architect.

The South Course, where eight championships from the European Tour (6 Portuguese Opens and 2 Algarve Opens) have taken place, and is considered by most players on the European Tour as being their favourite course. Located in Cadiz, it is considered to be one of Robert Trent Jones’ masterpieces, who, by the way, chose this course as one of his five favourite from the 500 and more which he has designed all over the world, as reflected in his book, Golf’s Magnificent Challenge, published in 1988. Opened in 1964, Sotogrande was his first course in Europe, and with all his cherished design philosophy, which was to make courses integrate perfectly into the natural environment, which would be a major challenge for the top players, as well as being both affordable and fun for everyone. Nothing better describes the course of the Real Sotogrande Golf Club.
An exciting course for players of any level that preserves all the natural beauty of the farm on which it was built, and what is more, it is just 150 meters from the Mediterranean Sea.
A venue for major sporting events such as the Spanish amateur Championship, which in 1983 was won by Jose Maria Olazabal, the Spansh Professional Championship in 1987 won by Severiano Ballesteros or the qualifying school finals for the European circuit for five years, where players such as Ian Poulter, Geoff Ogilvy, Justin Rose, Niclas Fasth and Nicolas Colsaerts all obtained their tour card.July 27--El Paraiso Golf Club
